You're visiting the global website of Knauf Insulation

The Graduate Trainee Engineer (Process Engineer) started with Knauf Insulation in February and is from Spain.

During the program, we had the chance to work with some amazing managers. One day I’d like to be able to provide similar guidance, potentially taking on a leadership role.

Why is the graduate program important to you?

The graduate program is a real challenge where you get to discover yourself, accompanied by very talented people from around the world and supported by amazing experts and guidance from experienced mentors. The graduate program also offers the possibility to explore different Knauf Insulation businesses and participate in diverse projects. To me, the most important thing is to explore a bigger world and learn new skills. I also want to understand myself better. What am I good at? What inspires me? What do I need to work on? Where can I make a real difference?

What are the key benefits?

The program offers the ideal environment to prepare us for a successful career at Knauf Insulation. We travel and learn in multiple locations, adapting to different cultures, and making friends along the way. Additionally, we get exposed to challenging projects and environments across the company, and we create our network and get an overview of the industry.

What does it contribute to Knauf Insulation?
During the program, we get a wide overview of the company, this point of view can help us connect the dots between Knauf Insulation’s divisions. By doing assignments in different regions, we also aim at improving communication and spreading knowledge. Ultimately, we are receiving training and getting prepared to become part of Knauf Insulation’s next generation of employees and managers.

How does it enhance company culture?
As participants of the graduate program, we stay true to Knauf Insulation’s values, and we are responsible for acting in an exemplary way everywhere we go. Hence, helping improve the company’s culture.

How does it build on continuous improvement? Safety? And customer-centricity?
The strategic pillars are something we live every day. All our projects are aligned with one of the pillars. So, we have the opportunity to contribute directly to each one.

What one lesson from the program would you share with colleagues around the world?
Always try to see the big picture.

Where do you see yourself in five years?

In five years, I’d like to be seen as someone with deep expertise in the insulation materials sector. During the graduate program, we have the chance to work with some amazing managers, so I’d like to be able to provide similar guidance, potentially taking on a leadership role.
