Hock takes over Heraflax® production line
As from November 2007 Hock GmbH & Co. KG takes over the Heraflax® production line and is also responsible for the commercialization of the stock capacities.
With the acquisition of the Austrian Heraklith Group early 2006, Knauf Insulation also acquired the Heraflax natural insulation business which has its high capacity manufacturing plant located in the South of Germany (Simbach).
After a strategic review of the businesses across Europe and more specifically, in Germany and Austria, Knauf Insulation decided to focus all efforts on the main insulation materials in their portfolio.
Knauf Insulation has considerable sales as well as strong positions in the market with the large range of glass wool, stone wool, wood wool and also with foam products (both EPS and XPS). These strategic product groups will continue to allow Knauf Insulation to offer their customers a wide range of insulation solutions.
The natural insulation business is for Knauf Insulation a small part of the overall company sales and Knauf Insulation is convinced that such specific product fits a dedicated company such as Hock (Thermo-Hanf®) much better.
Knauf Insulation appreciates the comprehension for this decision as they are pleased with Hock as a capable, ambitious and long-term good positioned purchaser.
